The C&O Canal Trust will be hosting the seventh Annual Park After Dark
fundraising gala on Saturday, September 16 at 6 p.m. to benefit the
C&O Canal National Historical Park (NHP). Over 40 percent of the Park is in
Washington County, Maryland. This unique event is held under the stars in the
C&O Canal NHP at the beautiful Historic Great Falls Tavern. Attendees will
kick back and enjoy live music by the 19th Street Band, great food from
Corcoran Caterers, tasty libations, unique live and silent auction items, a
campfire, and much more! This yearly event, a hot ticket for its unique
atmosphere and historic touches, serves as the Trust’s largest fundraiser.
Join us as we celebrate the C&O Canal Trust’s 10th anniversary as the
Park’s official non-profit partner. Park After Dark hosted sold out crowds
for the past two years so order your tickets early!
Last year, Park After Dark raised $94,000 at the event. The proceeds support
the preservation programs of the C&O Canal NHP, which hosts nearly 5 million
visitors along its 184.5 mile length.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and are $200-$250 per person. Of that
price, all but $50.00 is a tax-deductible donation to the C&O Canal Trust.
Tickets are available at www.ParkAfterDark.org. Interested in becoming a
