Washington County’s love affair with love is explored in a brand new
exhibit at the Miller House Museum. Learn about notable local weddings,
fashions, and traditions as you travel back in time through the exhibit.
Special displays are filled with authentic gowns, wedding trousseau items,
popular gifts, photographs, certificates, and other items ranging from the
late 1700s to the 1950s. Highlights of the exhibit include a number of pieces
from weddings held in the Miller House itself, as well as dresses worn by the
family of Maryland Governor William Thomas Hamilton and several bridal party
gowns designed by Ceil Chapman, a noted New York fashion designer of the
1940s and 1950s.

The exhibit will run from Feb. 3–March 31, and will be open
to members and the public for visitation during regular museum hours.
