Fall Festival

Featuring hayrides, farm exhibits, demos, animals, food, and crafts, with hands-on crafts, games, & candle-dipping for kids, the Fall Festival at Rose Hill Manor Park takes place Oct. 7 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; Oct. 8 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.  There will be a Saturday morning tractor pull, and on Sunday, there will be an afternoon cake auction and kiddie pedal tractor pull. For more information, call 301-600-1650or visit www.rosehillmuseum.com, or http://recreater.com.

Harvest Hoedown

This family event is packed with fun and friendly activities for all. There willbe food for sale, a bake sale, barrel rides, silent auction, pumpkinpainting, children’s games, scarecrow making, crafts, collectibles and livemusic in the Bandstand. Don’t miss out on this community event to bring in the fall season! This is a free event, but all proceeds from concessions, etc. benefit theWilliamsport Food Bank. Canned food or cash donations are gratefullyaccepted.

Learn a new skill and have fun while doing it! In this all ages class, learn the basics of knitting while making your ownscarf! Participants will receive the yarn needed to make a scarf and theirown set of needles, and instruction on how to start knitting, how to make thetwo basic knitting stitches, how to add on a new ball of yarn, and how tofinish a project! The materials fee includes the ball of yarn and needlesthat you get to take home with you.

Enjoy a drink and have a think! At Culture & Cocktails, a new lecture programat the Miller House Museum, WCHS tackle a topic with the help of some liquidfortitude! Fresh off the fields of Antietam, Mark and Julia Brugh of Sharpsburg CivilWar Ghost Tours will deliver some of their most thrilling and chillingstories and experiences of local paranormal events.
